Its WEEK 2 and things are really heating up in the book club.
The 5th Universal Law of Success is the Law of Human Magnetism. The author does an amazing job of creating a rubric to 'update' your magnetism capabilities. After all, it's about getting what you want and need out of life. Humans are equipped with certain abilities to draw these things to us, however they may lay dormant until we truly challenge ourselves.
This is where the pot started boiling in the meeting.
I posed a question. One that I knew was for 'the times', you know, the current era. We are socially distanced and weary of just about any social connection; by choice or even force these days. For many of us, we feel vulnerable in larger social groups. The go-getter or the social butterfly mentality seems to drain some of us more than others.
The author doesn't hold back, he is quite straight forward. You have to generate enthusiasm to ultimately achieve your goals and have long term success. It is truly about your attitude and outlook on life. I can seriously dig it but where does it leave the socially anxious and how can we develop enthusiasm to overcome it?
How can we develop our enthusiasm (for our lives, our goals and purpose) while still maintaining boundaries that support our new alignments in life?
To elaborate a bit, enthusiasm is not mutually exclusive to being social, HOWEVER, human engagement is a part of life. On the flip side, spiritual attuning changes our outlook on life and therefore our environment will either change or become severely outdated to our new world view. Change is necessary and eminent.
Upon stepping into this new space of higher attuning you began to realize that you need to meet this new realm half way. It opened up for you, now you must acclimate to this new way. The new way involves learning new skills and developing old skills that you never thought you had the range for.
Uh-oh! Are we getting off topic?
I think we are getting right on topic.
The meeting generating some thought provoking -isms surrounding enthusiasm. No matter what level of life or realm of spiritual attainment you are in developing and challenging your enthusiasm may be the key to unlocking greater success within self.

It's got you thinking, right?
Until next time,
Oracle's Book Club
Plans are awesome to have BUT they don't always happen the way we wish or think they should. As the first OBC meeting concluded all the participants felt this truth even more so.
Reminder: We are reading The 12 Universal Laws of Success by Herbert Harris
OBC was supposed to be a 5-week book club that featured 5 different titles. How did it turn into a 12+ week Master Mind Group solely about 1st week's book?
Well, very simply. Those who participated got the chance to be heard. When we gathered for the first time on September 15 I had no idea what to expect. I had a PLAN but I still had no idea how everything would go. Was the book interesting enough? Did everyone have enough time to read the book? How many people would actually show up to discuss it? Will my study questions provoke the type of conversation that can carry this club meeting?
Just a true mountain of stress and self doubt. Once we actually gathered on the video meet, slowly but surely these tensions started to fade and more and more the feeling of, "We have something serious to accomplish", emerged.
It didn't take long before the entire group was expressing the timeliness of the title and how they wish they read it sooner. Even though this is my second read through I'm a bit upset I didn't revisit this title sooner. My anxiety faded and what happened was nothing short of amazing. We not only filled the entire meeting with meaningful conversation but we came to some pretty serious declarations at the end of the meeting.
Declaration 1. Keep the group small. Intimacy seemed to be a key factor in this meeting. To be honest, it is a pretty darn important factor to me too! Making the first meeting is imperative to making a lasting impact with the group and in this case all it took was one meeting to realize WE are enough.
Declaration 2. OBC will stay on this title for the next week!
This book has apparently captured its audience. I must say there is much to take away from this title. It is certainly something to spend some time on however the impact of studying this material with a group can be absolutely monumental to an individual's growth.
I am quite excited to announce my new book club series; Oracle's Book Club.
To invoke dialog of the current and varied social and cultural experiences through literature; classical, contemporary and otherwise.
The club is open to anyone who loves to read all kinds of literature HOWEVER the series will focus on non-fiction, metaphysical + religious science along with self help books. We shall meet every Wednesday for 5 weeks starting September 15, 2021 at 6pm EST. The meeting will occur via Google Chat, a link will be sent out about 15 minutes before the start time.
During the meeting I will present a few ice breaker questions, theories or revelations about the book. I will also make it a point to allow open discussion of everyone else's thoughts on the book. I want to focus on the differing perspectives of the group and use that to inspire greater conclusions about our sociology. DISCLAIMER: It may not go exactly this way at all but its good to have a vision, right?
It is free to join however I will be accepting donations, $TrapWithOracle. All you need to purchase is the book itself.
